Designing for the future

Beamer High School was designed to house multiple small school academies, grades 9-12. Its 38-acre campus offers the full complement of playing fields, academic classrooms and resource areas, and space for performing arts and student activities; yet the building is intentionally flexible and adaptable enough to house a variety of self-contained schools and programs. It opened in 2003 as three academies and in the fall of 2005, a portion of the campus' large library/career center was converted to support a fourth academy.
