Henry Ford Academy

Dearborn, MI

The Henry Ford Academy is an innovative public high school chartered by the Wayne County Regional Educational Service Agency and sponsored by Ford Motor Company in partnership with The Henry Ford (Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village). Opened in 1997, it is currently home to 440 students in grades 9-12 in spaces at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village that have been adapted to meet the needs of the Academy.

The Academy utilizes the museum's human and physical resources to blend the knowledge of the past with modern teaching techniques, new technology, and hands-on experience. The Academy is the nation's first partnership effort involving a global corporation (Ford Motor Company), a nationally-recognized non-profit cultural organization (Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village), and public schools (Wayne County RESA).
