Connecting people

Before embarking on the educational facilities design of Marysville Getchell High School, Architects of Achievement worked closely with the community to establish Guiding Principles for the project, and ultimately, the school. In addition to taking groups on tours of high-achieving models of exemplary schools around the country, Architects of Achievement was integral in the process of periodically holding a series of workshops, open house sessions, eco-charettes, and focus groups with students, staff, school leaders, planners, and designers. The heart of the community was captured by connecting people around one core goal: providing students with a world-class education that would prepare them for the future.
